COWGIRL SPIRIT AWARD
This award recognizes an applicant’s leadership, social responsibility, community involvement, and passion for Western heritage. Applicants should highlight their leadership roles, community service and volunteer efforts, along with their future goals and aspirations. While rodeo experience is not required, the essence of being a cowgirl - dedication, community, and passions - shines through in this category.

COWGIRL TOUGH AWARD
This award celebrates athletic ability and dedication in the rodeo arena. Applicants should highlight their achievements as rodeo competitors, sharing defining moments and accomplishments. Consideration will also be given to future goals and ambitions in the rodeo world, as well as the applicant’s role in their community. Whether you were a past 4H member , were involved in high school rodeo, or a past or present rodeo queen, or an active competitor, your experience will shine in this category.

"Cowgirl Spirit" Essay
Essay Questions for the 2025 LaDue Scholarship Application. To be answered in a MAXIMUM 700 word essay.

(1) Think of someone who you admire, who inspires you to reach for the stars. Without naming the person, tell us how this person influenced you to achieve more.
(2) Describe your service to your community. What has been your greatest accomplishment?
(3) How have you honoured western heritage?
(4) Who in your community epitomizes "Cowgirl Spirit"?
(5) Describe how Florence LaDue Lived Life with "Cowgirl Spirit".
(6) You’ve heard the quote “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. In the context of living life with “Cowgirl Spirit”, what change would you like to see in the world and how would you help make it happen?

"Cowgirl Tough" Essay
Essay Questions for the 2025 LaDue Scholarship Application. To be answered in a MAXIMUM 700 word essay.

(1) If family or friends were to describe you in three words, what attribute comes up the most often and why?
(2) Describe a time when you tried something new and challenging. What did you learn from that experience?
(3) Besides your achievements in rodeo, what is your greatest accomplishment?
(4) Do you believe that Florence LaDue could be described as “Cowgirl Tough”? Tell us why?
(5) Without naming the person, describe someone in your rodeo community who you believe epitomizes “Cowgirl Tough”.
(6) What does community mean to you? How have you helped make your community a better place?

Each essay will be evaluated on its own merit; therefore, the essay MUST be ANONYMOUS. Please do not place, sign or mention your name anywhere in the essay. Any direct reference to the applicant’s identity or the identity of parents, siblings, or family name will result in disqualification.

✓   SECTION 6 - UPLOAD YOUR LIST OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Include a ONE PAGE list of accomplishments that further describes your abilities/volunteering efforts. *Please note: To maintain applicant anonymity, please do not place your name on the list of accomplishments. Also, if you have won an award (ie: Miss Rodeo 2016) please do not list the year.

✓   SECTION 7 - UPLOAD YOUR REPORT CARD OR PROOF OF ENROLLEMENT

Report Card – All applicants must include a copy of your most recent report card

Proof of Enrollment – If not already attending a post-secondary institution you must be able to provide proof of enrollment if applying for one of the post-secondary scholarships.

✓   SECTIONS 8 - PARENT/GUARDIAN DECLARATION

Affirmation:
All applicants must be 18 years of age or older to agree to the terms of this application.
Applicants under 18 years of age will require a Parent or Guardian to authorize their agreement.

Application must be authorized:
I certify that by selecting "I agree", I authorize the La Due Ladies Lunch Foundation to, if necessary, use my name in various public relations activities, announcements and presentations to promote the La Due Ladies Lunch and their scholarship initiative.
