Since 2013, the LaDue Ladies Lunch Foundation has honoured an extraordinary woman from our community through the LaDue Legends and Legacy Award. This award celebrates women who embody the enduring spirit of Florence LaDue and the early-day cowgirls who could truly do it all.
The LaDue Ladies Lunch Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising funds that create educational opportunities, scholarships, and meaningful support for young women across Alberta. Today, the Foundation proudly awards nine annual scholarships to female students in Alberta, helping empower the next generation to pursue their goals with confidence.
Rooted in the legacy of Florence LaDue, the Foundation celebrates women who reflect the cowgirl spirit of tenacity, innovation, imagination, and a rancher’s work ethic. Through our research on Florence LaDue, we discovered that many women of her era shared a grit and resilience we continue to recognize today in successful women across Western Canada—women who are unapologetically authentic, boldly capable, and unafraid to be their fullest selves.
Over the years, the LaDue Ladies’ Lunch Foundation has also been proud to support a range of local charities that share our commitment to strengthening the education and well-being of women and children in our community.
Raising funds to empower young women across Alberta through education, scholarships, and community support—while honouring the legacy, leadership, and grit of women who lead the way.
